About Anne Serres

Born in Paris (9th Arr.)
To a mother from the South of France (proudly so) and a father raised between Paris and Putney (London, SW15) — hence the proficiency in English and French, and the fondness for accents (Parisian and Southern in French, so British in English).
History, Law, Sciences Po
Three degrees have cubed my standards and tripled my perspectives: a historical eye, a legal mind, a political read.
Communications
Insurance, financial markets, wine, sustainability, contemporary art… Internal, external, crisis, change. A whole career of storytelling, across worlds that couldn’t be more different.
Wine press & WSET London
Fifteen years as a journalist, taster and trainer — shuttling between London, Montpellier, Brussels and… the world. With a particular soft spot for the wines of Italy, South Africa, the Moselle (France, Germany, Luxembourg), the Rhône (from its Swiss source among the vines of Valais, all the way down to Châteauneuf-du-Pape and even further south). And, last but not least, the Languedoc and my dear Roussillon, naturally.
Butcher
After wine, meat. In 2022 I went looking for a new challenge. Family tradition and loyalty to winegrowers had already put me among the wild boar hunters of the Hautes-Corbières. One of them, a butcher by trade, taught me to cut. I was hooked, trained for my butchery diploma, and can confirm: a degree from Sciences Po prepares you for absolutely anything.

About N.A.M.E.

AnneSerres by NAME stamp

An unreasonable amount of curiosity, a habit of looking at things sideways, a way with words, years spent in communications, and just enough AI to handle the plumbing — that’s the recipe. Sear briskly over red-hot vine-cutting embers, and out comes N.A.M.E.: Narration Augmentée pour Marques d’Excellence, or Augmented Narrative for Excellent Brands, for those who need it spelled out.

It’s my method, applied here to my own brand: Anne Serres. This site is my personal portfolio, and proof of what I can write in both French and English. The technical and visual side I leave to my generative studio — that’s not my department.

The rest — perception and storytelling, a nose for the right word, an ear for the right tone, in French and in English — that is all me.

So, if you’re wondering how to make your project legible, visible, and better still, I could be your Answer. Quite so: that is how you pronounce my name.
